Bangladesh: Scaling up Bangladesh rural development best practices: lessons learned by FEDEC in the development of Value Chains (September 2014)

Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF), International Network of Alternative Financial
Institutions (INAFI) and PROCASUR, with the support of IFAD, jointly organized the
Learning Route: “Scaling up Bangladesh rural development best practices: Lessons
learned by the Finance for Enterprise Development and Employment Project (FEDEC)
in the development of Value Chains” from the 7thto 11th of September 2014 at Satkhira
and Jessore districts in Bangladesh. 20 representatives of the six different IFAD-supported
projects in the country shared their lessons learned around the development of value chains.
The Learning Route was based on the Crab and Flowers Value Chains, successfully
assisted through diverse financial and non-financial services by NGF and RRF, PKSF’s
partner’s organizations.


Follow up Workshop in Dhaka

As a follow-up process of Learning Route, INAFI Bangladesh and PROCASUR Corporation with the support of International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) have organized a half a day workshop for sharing the Action Plans (APs) developed by the individual projects during the 5 day learning route (LR) and strengthen the collaboration among IFAD-supported projects on 16th November, 2014, at LGED Head Quarter, Dhaka.

Along with the project participants of the LR, the Country Programme Officer and Knowledge Management Officer of IFAD in Bangladesh and INAFI team the workshop was by Project Directors ofthe IFAD funded projects in Bangladesh.
